What is Medicare Advantage (Part C)?

It's a Medicare-approved plan from a private company that covers your Part A and Part B in one plan, usually includes drug coverage, and often has a $0 premium. These plans use provider networks, so it matters that your doctors are included.

It's private insurance that works alongside Original Medicare to help pay some of the out-of-pocket costs Original Medicare doesn't cover. You can see any doctor that accepts Medicare, and you usually add a separate Part D drug plan.

What is a $0 Dual-eligible (D-SNP) plan?

A Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) is a Medicare Advantage plan for people who have both Medicare and Medicaid. They often have $0 premiums and extra benefits, and an integrated D-SNP can coordinate your Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
